Designed for use in soft to medium rock, shale and caliche ground conditions up to 10,000 psi (70 MPa), the Ultra X3 375 Gauntlet bit has exceptional steering capabilities. To optimize wear and performance characteristics of the bit, carbide buttons and hardfacing are strategically placed. A consistent cutting structure for steering corrections, delivered by a replaceable three-tooth design, maximizes drilling performance. No need for changing tooling for pull back, because the pullback hook is included.

The Ultra X3 375 drill system is the largest of the sizes offered at this time. A non-torqued spline connection system optimizes the time it takes to perform tooling switches — without the need for special tools or breakout devices — and offers compatibility with a wide range of pilot bits and pullback configurations.
